Trying to Sleep

Gabi lay awake tossing and turning. Her blonde hair was on the top of her head in a loose pretty bun, and her tired blue eyes were wide and weary. Her skin was thick but was dark under her eyes, from lack of sleep. Her mind was racing with the thoughts of Everret filled her mind. She thought of the last thing she saw, him leaning in to kiss her. She missed his warm comfy hugs, his big goofy smile, the way he looked at her. She couldn't help it, he was all she had thought about since the note, the note that sat smugly on her dresser. She picked it up and read it a couple more times before putting on her mini dress and a pair of small gold ballet flats. She stretched her all white wings before climbing on the window seel and jumping. She flew around the tree before landing on a small branch and grabbed a silver apple and flew back to her window and sat on the ledge.

Everret crept slowly up in the garden trying to think of a catchy line to say to the gorgeous girl sitting on the window sill, eating a silver apple with full pink lips.
"Gabi we better call God, because I think he lost on of his angels."
He said with his goofy, dippled smile that made even the greatest of wills fall and worship him. He couldnt help that he was so adorable, it came naturally.

(Lord >.>" Classic line, but they're already angels, so it loses it's luster )

Gabi rolled her eyes and looked up at him. Her eyes were tired and had big rings under them. She still looked good, like she could model a sleep wear.
"Maybe that angel ran away."
She giggled and jumped off the seel and flew over to him.

Everret laughed.
" Where to? Her prince charming?"
Everret said opening his arms so she could fall into them.

Gabi smiled and wrapped her small sweet smelling arm around him. She pressed her perfect face against his hard stomach. She looked up at him, her face was tired and weary.
"Depends on where he is taking her"
She said rubbing her hands across her cold bare leg. She inhaled his sweet scent and she got a weird feeling.

Everret leaned down and buried his face into her golden locks of honey sweet hair. She looked tired and weak.
" What if he took her to a Palace? One with a comfortable bed fit for the beautiful angel? And maybe some room for a tall demon?"
He said buring his nose into her hair determinded to get her scent. He smiled and squeezed Gabi tighter to him.

Gabi rested her perfect tired head on his chest, both arms around him. She rubbed his shirt sleeve between her small fingures.
"It's fine.. I'm not even tired..."
She mumbled lamely, yawning. Her honey voice sounded strained, and so did her face. Gabi's eyes fell heavy, but she refused to fall asleep.

Everret shook his over grown bangs out of his hair and laughed.
" Oh darling you are really tired."
He said scooping her up in his arms and flying into her room and depoisting her on the bed. He went over and locked the door then got into the bed with her, laying on the opposite end of her. He didnt dare touch her; she probably though her was trying to take advantage of her.

Gabi curled up into a ball and rested he head on a stiff pillow. She yawned and fell asleep, her lips slightly parted and breathe puffing out of her mouth in a steady motion. Her hair was still in a sloppy, pretty bun, she was still wearing her shoes. Gabi didn't really care though, Everret was near her and that's all she needed. Gabi dreamed about her death, she screamed, mumbled, and even cried in her sleep, but didn't wake up. After the sixth time of going over her breif, painful death, she screamed at the top of her lungs. Tears poured down her face, and she mumbled something about telling her sister sorry.

Everret had dozed off, only to be woken up by screaming. He jumped out of bed and started throwing punches at the air, blindly. He rubbed the sleep out his eyes, only to find no one in the room besides him and his sleeping beauty. She was still sleeping, but big tears were flowing down her cheeks. He shook her slightly.
"Gabi, darling, wake up"
He said shaking her a little more.

Gabi woke up, her eyelashes clumped with tears. She couldn't see strait and burried her face into his shirt. She cried and wiped her tears away with his shirt.
"I'm sorry, I just don't know why she hates me!"
She cried her voice quiet and muffled. She hated he was seeing her like this.

Everret scooped her up in his arms and wipped somemore of her tears away.
"Who hates you?"
He asked, rubbing her cheek tenderly, then sat down on the bed. He loved taking care of her, it made him feel like he was a better person, and that she was relient on him. He never wanted her to leave him, he needed her.

Gabi rested her head on his chest and rubbed away the last of her tears. She hated talking about this, but wasn't keeping anything from Everret.
"My sister..."
She mumbled quietly not making eye contact.

Everet stifled a laugh.
"Are you sure you arent over exasgerating. She's your sister, how could she hate you?"
He asked, and pulled the pin out of her bun. Her hair fell down her back. Everret ran his fingers through it.
"How could anyone hate you?"
Everret asked her. He pulled her closer, so were he could feel her heat through her thin dress, and his thin shirt. He was always cold, there wasnt a sun in Hell.

Gabi shivered as she thought of her sister. She really didn't know why her sister hated her and she just shrugged. She felt her hair fall but didn't care, she hugged herself closer to him and wrapped her arms around, trying to figure out why her sister hated her. She tried to shove that thought out her mind and she looked away.

Everret kept running his fingers through her feather soft hair. She looked at him for a moment then away. Her stopped running his fingers and put his hand on her chin lightly. Then he turned her face towards his.
"Gabi, how did you die?"
He asked her softly, then let his hand drop.

Gabi looked away painfully.
"I was walking home from a friends house when I was grabbed, stripped, and stabbed 4 times in the chest."
She said not wanting to go into details.

Everret looked at her wide eyed. Then he pulled her close to him tightly, only allowing a little lack so she could at least breathe.
"Oh my Go-. Im so sorry, I didnt know. Im just God I will kill whoever did this."
He said fiercly to her.
"Promise."
He said leaning down and kissing her as a seal to his promise.

Gabi's heart skipped a beat when he kissed her. She felt better knowing that her "knight in shining armor" when defend her. She looked up at him smiling, her blue eyes crinkling up agains her blemish free skin. Gabi felt tired again, but refused to fall asleep, afraid to have the dream again. In stead she let Everret holder tight against his chest. She knew this was all wrong, he was a demon and she was an angel. Somehow they fit together perfectly, like two halves of a heart.

Everret smiled slightly and started singing to her.

Now Everret sang so good, the birds would stop and listen. But he rarley sang. It reminded him to much of his mother.

Gabi's heart swelled as he sang, for she had heard it before. Her grandmother used to sing it to her. Gabi couldn't help it, and before she knew it she was sing softly along with him, her high voice hitting every note, something you'd expect to hear from an angel. Her vioced got quiet, but she continued singing. Her eyes started to get heavy, but somehow she looked happier than ever.

Everret looked at her and suddenly they were in their own little world. Suddenly a loud BOOM came from the door. Someone or something was trying to get in. He looked to Gabi wided eyed.
"I have to go!"
He said laying her down gently on the bed and standing. he took to the window sill and then ran back to the bed. He gave Gabi one last kiss then flew away.

Gabi closed her eyes and pretended to sleep. She started to fall asleep with the BOOM came again. Her door shook, screws getting loose and the door finally gave way. It crashed on the floor with a loud thud. There stood her worst nightmare, slowly getting closer...

Everret stayed in a tree outside her window, making sue she was okay. But something seemed.. wrong.
